South Decatur's Royal Rangers Outpost 214

The Royal Rangers program is a Bible based boy's program that teaches boy of all ages. Rangers begins in K and goes all the way through the 12 grade. The goal of Rangers is to help boys become Godly men. This is accomplished through fun activities, camping, earning merits, ceremonies of achievement, weekly meetings, and a great deal of fun. All of our commanders are trained and have background checks run on them routinely. We are committed to making Outpost 214 the best that it can be. Our workers have over 20yrs of experience working in this area of ministry and all of them are committed to seeing this ministry be the best that it can be.

 (K, 1ST, 2ND GRADERS)

This is where the foundation of Rangers begins. We takes this group serious because we know that if we can share the gospel with them in a fun and exciting way that they will have a great foundation to build upon. This group meets every Wednesday night. Opening Ranger Ceremony starts at 6:30pm. This group has a great time and with an early start this group has the opportunity to reach the highest levels of Rangers. So bring you child on Wednesday and let them be a part of this great ministry.

 (3rd, 4th, 5th Grade)

This is the group that really begins to discover Ranger tradition and what Royal Rangers is all about. During this time the boys will earn more merits and be involved in more activities of fun and excitement. This is usually one of the largest groups that we have in Rangers and therefore this is the group that we have more commanders for. This group meets every Wednesday night. Opening Ranger Ceremonies are at 6:30pm. If you have a boy in this age group then Rangers is the place they need to be. Get them off the couch with the Xbox and get outside in the great outdoors.

(6th, 7th, 8th Graders)

We are very proud of our Middle School Rangers. Adventure Rangers is just that. Rangers allows them to be a part of many outdoor adventures. This group enjoys allow of fun activiities and has learn what it means to be a Ranger. These Rangers are also a part of our SPARC Youth ministry and because of that this group meets on Sunday Night with Ranger Ceremonies being held at 5:30pm. We do this so that they can be a part of Youth Worship on Wednesday night because we believe that is important to them as well. By working together with one another we have found that the boys have a great time and really grow.

 (9th, 10th, 11th, 12th Graders)

These are the last group of Rangers. They also meet on Sunday Evening at 5:30pm so that they can be a part of SPARC Youth on Wednesday night. We know that as a Teenager in today's times that there are a lot of different things going on, but we believe that Rangers is still a great program to help these young men become great men of God. This group does more learning on their own and if they have been in Ranger for several years they can achieve the highest level of Rangers. Our goal is to help them achieve that very thing.

In Royal Rangers the guys do much more than just hang out in a classroom. They enjoy all kinds of outdoor activities such as, camping, canoeing, and learning to respect nature, people, and God. They learn skills such as how to start a fire correctly, how to hold and open a pocket knife, proper gun safty (BB Gun), and how to set up a camp. They also have large distinct, and national camputs call POW WOWs every year. This is where 100's and even 1000's of other Rangers come together for a week of fun.
